Buoyant STFOC from munitions tethers to mooring buoys.

Buoyant STFOC for the subsea world

Linden’s buoyant STFOC™ fiber optic cables are available for a variety of underwater uses from munitions tethers to ROV controls to mooring buoys. Our lightweight, buoyant designs are customized to your needs.

From neutrally buoyant designs to cable that will float on water, we can design and manufacture your size, buoyancy and strength. Using Linden’s patented cable jacket construction designed to protect the fiber in the harsh subsea environment, our cables are compact, flexible and strong.

A starting point — most projects end up with a configured or custom variant.

    Buoyant cable

From the thinnest 290 μm cable to 13 mm+ designs with multi-ton break strength, with precise density control for positive, neutral or negative buoyancy.

    STFOC

Where it all began. Patented LCP-jacketed cable for munitions tethers, ROV controls and littoral sensing, with a Non-Kink design that prevents hockling and continuous lengths up to 50 km.

    Hybrid cables

Copper and fiber integrated in a lightweight design: buoyant options, thin-wall insulation, Vectran strength members and 300 V, 600 V and 1,000 V ratings.

    Gel-filled loose tube

A lightweight, flexible, cost-effective alternative to fiber-in-metal-tube for hybrid designs, from 1.6 mm to 3 mm OD.
