Fiber optic cable designed for repeated flexing.

Cable that doesn’t restrict the robot

Robots are becoming indispensable tools in modern automation. Linden Photonics develops fiber optic cables specifically designed for repeated use, meeting the long term demands for flexing, strength and bend radius.

For mobile and underwater robots, our tethers range from data-only fiber to hybrid designs that include power, with buoyancy from positive to neutral or negative.

A starting point — most projects end up with a configured or custom variant.

    High strength cable

Non-buoyant cables with over 2,500 lbs breaking strength, a rugged exterior and continuous lengths over 5 km.

    Hybrid cables

Copper and fiber integrated in a lightweight design: buoyant options, thin-wall insulation, Vectran strength members and 300 V, 600 V and 1,000 V ratings.

    MicroTethers

Small-gauge copper and fiber in a lightweight tether, from 10.4 g/m designs for the smallest drones to 13,000 lbs work-load anchors for aerostats.

    Specialty copper

Light, temperature resistant, radiation hardened or buoyant copper cables from 3 mm to over 20 mm OD and 100 to 5,000 lbs work load.
